Medium-sized and of noble bearing, the Pharaoh Hound should be graceful, powerful, and above all - fast. The Pharaoh Hound is an ancient dog breed who has changed little since his development more than 5,000 years ago.
A unique breed characteristic is their "blush" - when happy or excited, the nose and ears turn a deep rose color. Today, their willingness to please makes them excellent candidates for hunting, obedience and lure coursing.
General Appearance is one of grace, power and speed. The Pharaoh Hound is medium sized, of noble bearing with hard clean-cut lines-graceful, well balanced, very fast with free easy movement and alert expression.
